I had the pleasure of meeting David Muir from Footprints Floors of Fairfax for a consultation. He was very professional and took the time to thoroughly explain the project details. His expertise and clear communication made the entire process easy to understand. I appreciate the time he dedicated to answering all my questions. Highly recommend his services!

David came for an estimate and told me right off the bat my project was too small for what he and his team does. However, he gave me the names of some handyman companies that could help, as well as talked me through some options for other potential project in my home while walking me through the process and how much disruption I would face. Even though I didn’t end up hiring Footprints, I’m super happy with the service I got and would definitely use them in the future.

I was very pleased with the service David provided. He assessed my hardwood floors and provided a few options. I would recommend him to others who are wanting to install or refinish their floors.

Excellent service from beginning to end! We were very impressed with the quality of flooring expertise, bringing back our original vintage oak floors to look so new they blend with brand new oak planks in the room over!

This was as good as it gets for us. Excellent communication throughout, expert problem solving along the way, and superior workmanship. We had our hardwood floors redone on two levels, removed tile and feathered in new flooring, stairs, baseboards, the works! Everything looks immaculate and Ricky and the team were efficient, clean, diligent, and a joy to be around. Ricky in particular attacks each challenge with joy and enthusiasm. Excellent experience. We had water damage that required drywall, flooring, baseboard, painting + sand and stain for the hardwood that was salvageable. It all looks great now. (+ they decommissioned some unused floor vents that were in an awkward location) Would call again if we are ever in the same predicament

I have nothing but positive things to say about David and Footprints Floors of Fairfax. David and his team managed a rebuild following water damage in our basement. They took a stressful situation and made it as enjoyable as possible. David was patient in talking us through different design options and product types. His team/crew are incredibly polite and dedicated to their work. David also has a large network of suppliers within the DMV area which allows him to provide high quality products at reasonable prices. Most importantly, David and his team are honest and work with integrity. We had them in our home for many days, often times when we were not home, with no concern or issue. I look forward to working with Footprints Floors of Fairfax again in the future!

David was great to work with. He worked with me on options and he is very reasonable with his pricing. Joel (his crew) was also great! He always arrived on time, was respectable and flexible around our schedule and needs. It was a pleasure working with both of them.

Dave is a great guy to work with and his installer Joel did a fine job. I loved the suggestions and finishing touches they suggested and they did the job the next day after I hired them!

David and his team were excellent to work with and I couldn’t recommend them more. Communication was on point when we ran into a few hiccups with my design requests. David came up with beautiful solutions that not only looked better than my original vision, but also used all of the product I had already purchased to make sure I didn’t lose money when we had to pivot. Now I have a gorgeous new shower, and a matching custom sink (the creative idea David suggested when I had more left over tile than expected). They are not the cheapest but you absolutely get what you pay for—fantastic work and custom solutions if things need to be tweaked or changed on the fly. David and his team absolutely provide a 5 star experience!

David and his team were fantastic!! They got the job done quicker than we expected with out cutting any corners. David was very helpful in finding a close match (can’t tell the difference) to our current hardwood in our living room as that one was discontinued. He was patient with me in answering all my questions. We will absolutely use him again in the future, especially now that he has a bath and tile portion of his business!
