A FIVE STAR rating for Footprints Flooring in Lenexa!! They just completed our wood floor addition (our dining room) making it blend seamlessly into our existing entry way and kitchen. Dan and his entire crew were awesome! I was able to select 3 stain samples, which were then applied to a small area on my kitchen floor. This way I was able to select the best color to match my kitchen cabinets. I requested my quarter round in advance and I pre-painted them to match my existing trim. Best decision I ever made; besides hiring Dan and his staff. Footprints Floors was one of 3 quotes I received for our home and he came in competitively priced. Dan was so friendly and accommodating and we felt he was so down to Earth, ensuring the finished product would look like a brand new home, and it does! Thank you Dan!!

I was impressed (floored?) by the team's knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism from start to finish. Once scheduled, Footprints completed my kitchen floor replacement in a single day. It was not a simple job, as there were multiple layers of DIY-installed old flooring in my 100+ year old historic Parkville home that were causing the tile to break apart and they had to remove/rehab everything down to the subfloor. It looks expensive, but it wasn't. Highly recommend these folks!

Our project of taking out old tile and vinyl, removal of a portion of carpet, and laying new tile in that area is completed and looks wonderful. Absolutely the BEST! After a long time comparing flooring materials and choosing solid hardwood, it was time to find the right installer. Footprints Floors had so many 5-star reviews that we were actually suspicious - but they've earned those reviews. These guys did a phenomenal job tiling my entire basement. They were communicative throughout the entire project keeping me posted on progress and updating me along the way. Jonathan, Juan, and the Footprints crew did an outstanding job of replacing the tile on our front entryway. My father, who had a long career biding construction jobs, had estimated what the job would cost. We were pleasantly surprised when the bid came in several hundred dollars lower than our expected cost. Several of our neighbors have already been over and told us how great the new tile looks!

Responsive! Dan came in, looked at what I was trying to accomplish and found solutions! His workers were excellent.

I’ll start by saying that I’m very happy with our new floors and would hire Footprint Floors again in the future. Cons: Initially I was going to give 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons. 1) I think having some reviews that are not perfect is helpful. Too many 100% 5 star reviews can look fake. After the job was completed and I did a walkthrough with Jonathan he asked if I was willing to review them on google and later texted me a link to make reviewing easier. I doubt if there was tension or any sense of dissatisfaction he would not have offered that. This is slightly manipulating the reviews they get on google but it is also the game business have to play in the age of internet marketing. 2) The first coat of hardwood finish was applied a day earlier than expected. This normally wouldn’t be a problem but it was applied very late in the evening and we returned to the house after dinner to find out that we couldn’t stay the night there as we had planned. More of a heads up about this would be appreciated. Pros (Great Service!): Having a project manager who introduced himself at the start of the project, was very helpful. Jonathan shared his phone number and email so we could ask questions about the project whenever we had them. We did have a few issues that came up as things often do during construction. What sets Footprint Floors apart is how they handled these situations. How you fix mistakes is more important to me than avoiding them. 1) During our initial quote there was a misunderstanding about the type of vent covers we wanted. The order had “Drop-In” vents while we wanted “Flush” vents. This was probably a terminology mistake on the part of my Wife and I. But after the first day of construction I noticed the mistake. Jonathan had the team come back to the house to do additional work to install the flush vent covers. This was needed so we wouldn’t get behind on schedule. There was no finger pointing about the mistake, or adjustments to the budget for the correction. 2) After Completing work we found a few cracked floor tiles in our bathroom on the edge of the hardwood floor. Footprint floors came back a few days later to replace the broken tiles and it looks good as new again. 3) Two weeks after work was completed and paid for, we noticed a board in the middle of our living room starting to swell up on the edges. (looked almost like water damage). We reached out and they scheduled someone to come out the next morning to fix it up at no additional cost. Leo (the person doing the repair) told us that it was likely a bad board. Photos - Living Room (After all flooring complete) - Living Room (After new boards installed before sanding/finish) - Broken bathroom tiles (before fix) - Repaired living room floor (after repair, still drying, actual damaged area was about 12 inches long. It is slightly darker in the middle of the taped area)

The quality, value, and professionalism from this company is amazing. Dan responded immediately to my request and met that same day. Him and his friendly staff kept me in the loop through the whole process. The floors were in such bad shape I wasn’t sure they could be brought back to life but they proved me wrong. I would highly recommend this company. Included a before and after of one of my bedrooms. I chose a dark walnut stain. Thank you so much Dan and team!!

Dan and his staff were very easy to work with. Our bathroom floor project made a huge difference in the appearance of our home. Dan made sure that the work was done to our satisfaction.

My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with our new floors. We had most of the floors on our main level replaced with hardwoods and some laminate in the basement replaced with tiling, and both were beautifully done. Our house feels completely different after this huge upgrade. Footprints Floors was significantly more affordable and reasonably priced than the other quote we got with a big company. The price they quoted for our hardwoods was the same that we were quoted for vinyl plank at the other company (and the other company claimed that their price was 50% off). Footprints also spared the videos and gimmicks when they came to provide an estimate. The owner, Dan (and not a salesman) came to our home, and he was very honest and forthright about project costs. Jonathan (our project manager) and Dan were both very responsive to our many questions and were very patient. They sent team members to our home each day to address our minor concerns/comments towards the end of the project. At the end, they did a final walk through to ensure all our concerns were addressed. Overall, Footprints exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier with our floors. The pricing was more than fair, and the team was very communicative and professional. Thank you again!

I want to share the amazing experience we had with Dan and his Footprints team. We had a new construction home and I found Dan and Footprints to do the tile work. They did such an amazing job, I wish I would have found them sooner so that they could have done our hardwood floors as well! The installers did a fantastic job repairing a broken kitchen tile where the original installers just placed tile over an open floor vent hole. They made sure they did the job right and properly covered the vent and installed new tile. Would certainly use them again AND refer them. Great work!!

All I can say is that working with Dan Hermansen and his incredible team with Footprints Floors, took all of the stress out of this daunting journey! Not only did they go above and beyond my expectations by moving and removing furniture, boxes and “stuff” … they literally brought JOY and calm to the process! These guys really know what it means to provide quality work, hard work, timely work and an outstanding finished project! Do not hesitate to work with or book these guys! They are incredibly knowledgeable about anything floors! They are amazing!

We recently noticed a crack in our shower tile floor. I contacted Footprints to obtain an estimate of repair and advice. Jodi returned my message very quickly and set up a time to speak with Dan about the issue. Dan reviewed my photos of the problem and gave me options that were simple DIY fixes. He was friendly and personable. Although he didn’t make any money from this project, he will be my first call for any future needs. Very pleased with the response and advice.
