Footprints' team does amazing work. Before their efforts, the corner pictured had been heavily damaged by cat urine. Footprints sanded and stained the whole floor and worked miracles. The floor is smooth, shiny, with no odor and only slight discoloration (it looks even better in person). They even matched the stain to the rest of the house with no record of what was initially used. I'm highly impressed with both the quality and speed of their work!

Kyle and David from Footprints Floors Carmel were excellent to work with in planning and installing new hardwood flooring in our new home. They went above and beyond to adapt to some changing circumstances around the job and worked their magic to keep some additional and unforeseen costs on the lower side. When part of our product order was delayed, they helped find an alternative solution, personally coordinated delivering the new materials, and scheduled crews (sometimes after hours) to get the job done quickly. Kudos to Kyle, David, and their team for a job well done. My only piece of advice to future customers is to be sure to read the details of your contract closely. Unforeseen costs can and do arise - if additional material is needed, the company may charge up to a 30% markup and may ask you to go to hardware store to pick them up yourself or pay a $180 pickup fee. I would be sure to ask the crew coming to do your estimate about these additional fees and what can be done to anticipate/prevent them before the work starts.

Thank you to Footprints Floors. The experience from estimate to completed installation was well handled. The installers were terrific. They were very efficient in removing the old carpet and vinyl. The entire house was done in three days. Even with the fast work, the quality did not suffer. I would recommend them to anyone considering a new installation.

The process of moving all of our furniture was tedious and certainly not fun, yet the end result was worth it. Footprints Foors in Carmel did an amazing job replacing my carpet with LVP! We had them replace almost 1000 sq ft, so it was a large project. Tom and Kyle were on top of any issues that arise and made sure everything was good. The crew was so nice, very efficient and kept everything clean, even during such a big project. I couldn’t believe that they finished early. They even matched the pattern of my current floor making it look seamless (2nd picture). I’d 100% use them again!

We had a great experience with Tom, Kyle, and the crew. They were extremely knowledgable and we very sensitive to our designs wants and our budget. Tom talked us through any change that was needed throughout the job, and explained the different options we had to mitigate cost creep. The craftsmanship of the crew was top notch, our floors look great and we couldn't be happier. One side story: We accidentally locked ourselves out with our 3 year old on a Saturday night. Kyle had an extra key to let the crew in when we weren't there, and he drove took time away from his family on a weekend to drive across town, to let us back in. The definition of above and beyond. In October, we had several teams of craftsmen replace almost all the flooring in our home. As with any construction project, it was chaotic at times, but thanks to Tom leading the project, it was a 5-star experience! I had visited multiple flooring stores, received several quotes, and still hadn’t found the right fit for my vision until I worked with Tom. I was looking for a traditional-width oak plank that would complement my 1960s home, along with someone who could handle both hardwood and tile. It was also crucial for me to have good communication between the craftsmen to ensure a seamless transition where the hardwood met the tile. As someone who works in sales, I expect the same level of customer service I provide to my own clients, and Tom truly exceeded my expectations. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, which had been a challenge for me with previous companies. The project scope also included replacing a vanity, extending a kitchen island, installing a new backsplash, and updating light fixtures. Tom coordinated everything and ensured that every detail was attended to. As a perfectionist, I needed a project manager with an eye for detail, and Tom delivered. I absolutely love my floors! The final result is exactly what I envisioned. Good communication and a skilled team made the investment well worth it. Our floors are built to last, and if we ever need them refinished, Tom will be our go-to. More pictures to come once the painting is complete!

I've tried to avoid writing my whole life story, but I need to give you context for what Footprints Floors helped us do... SORRY! TLDR Footprints Floors is awesome. You would be stupid to use any other flooring contractor. My wife and I adopted a whole litter of cats. So we have four. Yes, FOUR! We thought they would get along well with each other since they were siblings and grew up together since birth. Wow, were we wrong. Back in the dark ages of Covid19 circa 2019-2021my wife and I both fell into deep depression. During that time we stopped having people over to our house because of the pandemic, and we stopped caring for ourselves as well as we should have. Days turned into weeks turned into months turned into years. During that time our cats struggled a lot too. They grew anxious and started becoming territorial with each other. They started spraying / peeing outside their litter boxes. Fast forward to 2024 and our house WREAKS of cat urine. Yes, it's incredibly embarrassing. We tried to get rid of the smell but we couldn't We needed help to get out of the cycle we were stuck in.... and we then found Footprints Floors. Tom and his team helped us more than I can ever put into words. They removed all the NASTY carpet for us and helped us breathe fresh air for the first time in years. They replaced the carpet with engineered hardwood flooring and it turned out BEAUTIFUL. Their craftsmanship is leagues above "standard" construction companies. In my professional life, I have worked as a project manager in a field adjacent to construction management, and I have a lot of experience working with different trades and multiple areas of construction management. I have lead projects at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indiana University, Indiana State Senate Building, mega churches Northview Christian Church, Traders Point Christian Church, Grace Church, and more. All that to say, I have managed many high level / high cost projects for very large organizations. The level of professionalism and customer service with Footprints Floors is truly top tier! I cannot say enough how happy we are with the work they did removing and replacing our flooring. Approximately 1500 square feet of flooring was removed and replaced. Every area received special care. We are so grateful for the diligence and hard work of this team to bring our house back to a place where we are happy to live here. TLDR, life was bad, our carpets were old, and Footprints removed them. They installed new hardwood and they did a fantastic job.

Our 30 year old house that we've lived in for 14 years was ready for renovations. We chose to pursue replacement of carpet with white oak hardwood floors in 3 rooms, sanding and refinishing of existing 1st floor hardwood, addition of kitchen backsplash, and replacement of fireplace hearth and face tile. We pursued quotes from (4) resources including Footprints Floors. Tom Hickerson visited our home. He did the best job of answering a long list of project questions. In addition, he provided a competitive quote that was the most detailed of all quotes. We planned our work schedule. Tom visited daily to ensure work was on track and resolve any surprises and silly questions that evolved. His floor and tile teams were thorough and accomplished. Most notable was Abraham who a true craftsman who cut and installed herringbone tile for our kitchen backsplash and had stellar workmanship including 45 degree cuts and 1/16" grout lines on fluted fireplace tile. We are extremely happy and currently planning (2) future projects with Footprints Floors.

We recently had our wood floors redone by Footprints. They were recommended to us by other flooring professionals. It turned out to be a solid recommendation! Tom is very knowledgeable and stayed on top of our job, meeting with us a number of times and answering all our questions. This was particularly helpful given the disruption to our household and animals. Luis, who performed the work, clearly knows what he is doing. From our perspective, Luis went the extra distance to make sure everything was done right. Nothing was rushed. We had a few minor touchups at the end that Luis came back and completed - no issues there. Overall, our floors look great. It was an easy 5-star rating for us.

Footprints, and especially Tom, were fantastic to work with! He came out to give us an estimate in a very timely manner and was so professional and kind compared to other companies we had out. He even played with our dog which made us so happy. The pricing was fair and the estimate was able to be modified a-la-carte for our needs. We ended up doing our own demo and having Footprints do the installation of our LVP in our entire downstairs, changing the orientation of the flooring from the builder grade as well at Tom's recommendation, and we are beyond happy with how it turned out! The guys who installed the flooring were kind, professional, and extremely hard workers. They stayed until 8:30pm to get as much done as they could, and completed the job in just 2 days. We can't recommend Footprints more highly!!

That m and his team are all very professional, thorough, and clean. We needed a board on our floor replaced due to it being damaged by an electrician. I was not confident that this could be done. The cake out quickly after I called for an estimate. They scheduled me quickly. They showed up on time, reviewed the scope of work with me, and did exactly what they said. They did a great job of cleaning up after the work as well. You cannot tell where the damages were, which board was replaced, or that any dust was created from the repairs. Highly recommended!!!

Tom gave us some great advice on what we should do about some trouble we were having with our engineered hardwood floor.

We had the crew install a backsplash and laminate floor. They did a great job. The crews were on time and 100% cleaned up at the end of each work day, no tools or equipment lying around. When they pulled up the laminate flooring and found that the floor was very unlevel, they were able to offer a solution at a reasonable cost. The crew manager helped us figure out what we needed to supply, ie grout, mortar, transition pieces etc, and provided a list which was very helpful and saved some money from having them pick everything up. I would 100% recommend them and they will be my only call when we need wok completed in the future. As a matter of fact, they will be coming in the spring to refinish our hardwood floors!

Tom and his crew were awesome to work with! They tore out and replaced about 1200 sq ft of flooring in our new home. Our Floor & Decor product was delayed which pushed back our installation date, but Tom was quick to contact the store to find out what was going on and to reassure us that he was still there and ready to get our job done as soon as the materials arrived. The crew arrived right on time on the first day of install and got to work immediately. They were all friendly, respectful, and communicative. They kept us informed on what they were going to complete each day. We had some unexpected subfloor repairs, but they worked close to 12 hours each day in order to get our project completed on time. We highly recommend them!

Footprints installed new hardwood floor in our kitchen, then stained it to match existing hardwood in the three adjoining rooms. Finally they applied 3 coats of polyurethane sealer. Their pricing was the best quoted, installation team very hard working and professional and the work was inspected by the owner. They arrived on time and even came when weather had closed down schools and most local events to finish our last coat of sealer. We highly recommend their work and will use them again in the future!

Easy to work with and my floors look amazing

I had Footprints out to refinish the original wooden floors for the downstairs of the house a few months back and liked their work so much that I rehired them refinish the stairs and upstairs hallway (which included repairs) as well. They were very knowledgeable on the subject matter and were able to provide a clear estimate on specifically what they could or could not fix, as well as a fairly accurate estimation on when work would be completed. The workers themselves were very courteous throughout, as they always showed up on time, practiced social distancing, and were sure to clean up after themselves at the end of each work day. They were even able to throw in some transitions to the bedrooms and bathroom floors, which I greatly appreciated. The craftsmanship of their work was superb, and really transformed the feeling of the entire upstairs of the house. I thought the total cost of the project was more than fair, and was more than worth it given their reliability. I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for, and Footprints didn't fail to impress once again. I would 100% recommend Footprints to anyone who has a floor restoration project.
