We hired Footprints Floors to help repair a previous job done by another company. Alex was meticulous, and open to suggestions when we were designing certain aspects of our backsplash. Corners are crisp for an uneven tile. We knew we had some squareness issues with our walls and Alex was able to make it flow from one side to the other. Could not have asked for a better result.

I’ve lived in Austin for 15 years. During this time, I’ve hired many contractors for various upgrades to my home. Footprints stands out and outshines them all. From my first interaction with Kris the owner, I was greeted on time and with professionalism. Throughout the entire process of having my 3rd floor of hardwoods ripped up, floors leveled and new hardwoods laid, I never had one second of doubt, worry or frustration. Kris always stayed in contact and guided me through the process. Next, let me tell you about Oscar his lead floor installer. Oscar is the most humble, kind and polite human. He always treated me with respect and professionalism. His assistant was also very polite. These two spent 8 days in my home and worked so hard to make the job perfect. Oscar kept me informed of the days tasks and everyday cleaned up thoroughly before he left. My floors turned out beautifully- I was actually sad to say goodbye to them when they finished. Should you need flooring work I highly recommend them. I’d give them 25 stars if I could!!!

This was our second time working with Kris and the great team at Footprints. We hired them to replace some damaged LVP in the main living area of our home. Kris provided clear information and set expectations well in our first meeting. The crew accommodated our timeline and did exceptional quality of work. Pricing was fair and the team stayed within the quoted amount. Our floors look and feel great and even though we haven't gotten around to painting the baseboards yet, the work is so neat and tidy that it looks finished. We hope we won't need to replace our floors any time soon, but if we do we know who to call!

They did an excellent job installing hardwood floors for us. The installation was particularly challenging due to the poor construction quality of our Ashton Woods house. The subfloor was incredibly uneven with dips in the floor as much as 1 1/2” deep.

I bought a sad house with all gray walls and all gray tile. I picked this company because they were willing to install LVP over the tile. They did a great job with the floor prep and the floors feel completely level. The quarter round also looks fantastic and is barely noticeable. Thank you so much!

Kris has been great to work with. He is responsive, very reasonably priced and knows the market and products well. We received a quote initially, but decided to go with someone else for more of a one stop shop (Kris does not sell the flooring, but has referrals). In all honesty, we wish we had gone with Footprints and had him quote some repairs on items the other contractor got wrong.

I had been living with some worn-down carpeting on my entry stairs for years and finally decided to replace it with wood-look vinyl flooring to prepare my home for sale. Kris came out quickly to give me a quote and let me know how much to order from a supplier—the total materials and installation cost ended up being significantly more affordable than a quote I got from another company! Once the materials came in, it was quick to get on the schedule for installation, and the workers were prompt and quick to get it done. There was a small hiccup with not ordering quite enough material because of the weird shape of the landing stairs at the top, but we were able to order more and schedule guys to come back to finish that within a week. The stairs look and feel great with LVP! Don’t hesitate to reach out to Footprints Floors for your next project.

Kris and Shawn were both amazing throughout the process of redoing our shower floors to a stone pebble tile finish, and a new kitchen backsplash. Incredible attention to detail, care around other finishes, and general kindness when working through the job. 10/10 would recommend.

Can't say enough about how good our experience was. Chris was professional and responsive. Intaller Sean has mastered his profession. I'm particular and his work is top notch. We ran out of tile and he came back to install the last four pieces. I will never lay tile myself again.

Installed new tile on pool fountain. It was a pleasure dealing with Kris, knowledgeable & highly professional. Sean did a fantastic job on the tile. He had several suggestions that improved the project. Sean even came back on Saturday morning to finish the work, after having to stop early on Friday afternoon due to a thunder & rain storm. I plan to use Footprints Flooring on a second project in the near future.

I had Kris and his crew install some floating flooring while I was preparing my home for sale. They showed up on time and worked efficiently to get the job completed. My one dig would be that they chose to glue down the transition trim rather than use the tracks that come with it. I don't have a problem with the gluing down, but they were kinda' sloppy about it. I spent some very precious time cleaning up the excess glue, when I spoke with Kris he was very receptive to the feedback and said he would address the issue with his crew. A few days later a springy spot appeared, and another a few days after that. Kris was very consistent in taking my calls, listening to my complaints, and taking steps to correct them. Ultimately, Kris took very good care of me and saw the job through the difficulties to a very satisfactory conclusion. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

We hired Footprint Floors to replace our engineered wood floors with composite. Our previous floor was installed only 4 years ago by previous owner, but the quality of the installation was so poor the flooring had multiple issues. Khris, the owner was extremely responsive from the first moment until the the project was finished. He explained the whole process, answered our questions and promptly provided us a quote. Previous companies I tried to get a quote from didn’t even show up. Footprint Floors are not the cheapest but the quality of their work and their trustworthiness is definitely worth the money. They started the job when they promised and fixed all the issues that were discovered (uneven subfloor). Mario our floor guy was very polite and always made sure to ask our opinion about any small detail or decision and explain issues he found. I would highly recommend working with them. We are already planning to bring them back for another small project we have.

Customer service and workmanship are unmatched, comparing to any large project I have done in the past. We had a BIG job. Our wood floor buckled throughout 2 weeks after we thought a leak was resolved. The surprise was that the prior owner of the house did not like their original wood floor so they laid another on top of it creating double demo work. We decided to move forward with wood inspired tile. The outcome is gorgeous. Every piece was laid perfectly. Communication and responsiveness were quick and professional . I highly recommend Footprints floors. Their crew installed a subway tile backsplash and wood flooring. I’m so picky! They did not disappoint. Tile backsplash: They arrived on time, took special care to protect surfaces, took time to get my opinion on the install and areas that required troubleshooting BEFOREHAND. I watched them use leveling laser to make sure lines were straight. Cuts are nice and clean. They cleaned up and left no mess. Awesome! Flooring Install was a surprise job. Laundry soap fell on my wood flooring and I needed emergency flooring replacement. They were here within days fixing our problem. The crew again arrived early, carefully removed flooring without damage to shoe mold or walls, installed perfectly and left without a trace of a mess. Kris at Footprints bid and managed both jobs. He’s professional, responsive and contacts you to make sure you are satisfied with the job BEFORE sending the invoice. I needed both jobs done quickly. Kris accomplished this request, and provided a more than fair bid. I could not be more satisfied.

Our concrete floors needed extensive levelling prior to installation of our glue down wood floors. Another floor needed scraping. Oscar made sure our floors were perfectly prepped before installing the floors. It took him more time but he never cut corners or rushed the job. When the shoe mold under the kitchen cabinets did not meet my aesthetic expectations Todd came out in a timely manner, pulled them off and replaced them with custom kick plates and it looks fantastic. All along Kris was in communication from beginning to end. Everyone was very pleasant to work with. They were conscientious and professional and I believe they tried to do their best instead of cutting corners. I personally hate the process of construction projects but Footprints made it less painful than I expected. If I need floors again, I will definitely use these guys.

We had a great experience with Footprints Floors. They came out and did an estimate on our floors which included a specific pattern for tiles and flooring/baseboards that we wanted. We got quotes from a few places and they were very competitive on the price per square feet. The estimate was painless (even with us changing scope a few times). Kris and his team did a great job with the tilework, flooring and baseboards throughout the house. They let us know approximately what to buy and supplies they needed and the job was completed quickly and with quality work. Kris came by to check on the results after the job was complete and made sure we were satisified. We are looking forward to having them come out and do additional work in the future.

We hired Footprints to install tile in two of our bathrooms; one of then bathrooms also needed the old linoleum flooring removed. Extremely impressed with the work and professionalism. Kris (the owner) came over for the initial quote. He then was there when the work started and when the work was complete. His install team was professional and easy to work with. They made a point to let me know that the grout I had purchased would work but that I would be better off with a different type (which was cheaper). All in all a very honorable company that does quality work.

Footprints Floors is Fabulous! I had to have some warped boards replaced in my house that were sealed down with contact glue. It was a tough job but the team got it done quickly and somehow did not damage any of the wood floors nearby. The job was beautifully done and they even made excellent suggestions for alternatives to ripping up the floor in areas that could just be sanded and polished. I think the price was fair for such an excellent job. Kris made sure we were 100% satisfied which I really appreciated. They were also able to book the job and get it done quite fast. We will be using them again in the future for other projects.
